Matthew Turlington

Matthew Turlington Photography, formerly known as Penumbra Gallery and Studio, is a working studio. Work purchased through Fine Art America is printed by them. All work is of the highest quality and permanence. Matthew is a North Carolina native who has lived in all regions of the state, from the mountains to the sea. After a long journey he decided to make Western North Carolina his permanent home.
 Matthew received an Associates degree in commercial photography from James Sprunt Community College near the coast and a BFA in Fine Art Photography from Western Carolina University in the mountains of Cullowhee, NC. He then went on to Boulder, where he received an MFA in Photography and Electronic Media from the University of Colorado in...
