Taken on a very remote dirt road in one of my favorites places. I looked for this shot for 5 years. It was an amazing moment in time! Snow clouds settling in low, almost dark and a long ways from home. I take risk sometimes, but well worth it!

Thank you all! From the day I found this location, it took me 6 years of going there year round until I realized it was a snow scene I needed. Finally it all came together and it blew me away when I got there. That was about my 20th time being there, and it was just a special moment in time I didn't want to blow. Back in the film days, it was easier to screw it up, so it was nerve racking moment but also very surreal. Location is way deep in the NC mountains. Very special place. Now they have paved that road and it will never be the same. This photo is one of my top 3 best sellers.
